At Eagle Mountain Assisted Living we select staff who are dedicated to serving seniors. Our community has well-trained and big-hearted individuals who truly want to help people. Once a staff member is hired their professional skills are fine tuned through our orientation program which teaches them how to implement the Eagle Mountain Assisted Living principles and standards on a daily basis. This way they are better able to serve our residents and care for their daily needs.
Shelia Gates, Administrator, has worked in healthcare for over 30 years. She
began her career at Eagle Mountain Assisted Living as the Food Service
Director in February of 2006 just prior to its opening. After obtaining her
Administrator license and working closely with the former Administrator, she
began her present position in May of 2013. Shelia loves working with seniors
and is committed to meeting the needs and expectations of the residents and
their family members.
Food Service Director
Barbara Reynolds, Food Service Director, began her employment at Eagle
Mountain Assisted Living in April 2009 in the food service department. She
came to EMAL with 20 years of leadership experience and was an obvious
candidate for the FSD position when it became available in November of
2012. Barbara loves working with seniors and is committed to providing tasty
and nutritious meals.
Director of Maintenance and Environmental Services
Rick Ottaway, Director of Maintenance and Environmental Services, began his
career at Eagle Mountain Assisted Living in 2013. Rick brings to EMAL 25
years of experience in power plant operations. He also has 10+ years of
experience in the construction industry as well as apartment management and
maintenance. Rick is an Avid NASCAR fan and enjoys spending time with his
family and friends.
RA Supervisor/ CNA
Lawanda began working for E.M.A.L. in April of 2008, as a C.N.A. She took the position as R.A. Supervisor in March of 2017. She loves interacting with the staff and residents on a daily basis. In her time away from work she enjoys TOPS, a weight loss support group. She also loves spending time with her family and pets.
Robin Milligan, Administrative Assistant, began her employment with Eagle
Mountain Assisted Living in 2006 as a part time CNA. In June of 2007, she
left her full time job of 18 years to except her current position. Robin has
an outgoing personality and wonderful social skills that are beneficial in
the interaction with residents and family members.
Karen Reynolds Weaver
Director of Program Services
Karen Reynolds Weaver, Director of Program Services, was born and reared in
Batesville. Karen brings to Eagle Mountain Assisted Living experience gained
from many years of church and community involvement. Karen's enthusiasm and
creative energy complements her role as "Activity Director". She loves the
variety of tasks that her job brings. Both inside and outside work, she
enjoys entertaining and decorating as well as traveling and spending time
with her family.
